JIMIN SHOWCASES AWE-INSPIRING PERFORMANCE OF “Who” AT “THE TONIGHT SHOW

Jimin of 21st century pop icons BTS wowed audiences worldwide on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with the first-ever TV performance of “Who,” the main track off of his second solo album MUSE released on July 19.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated performance, Fallon introduced Jimin as the first South Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100, announcing his return with a new album MUSE.

Clad in a sleek leather jacket, Jimin began the performance slowly pacing through a damp, abandoned building, breaking into awe-inspiring choreography as neon signs lit up behind him displaying the track’s title and central message "Who is my heart waiting for." Joined by multiple dancers, he showcased his formidable performance skills, combining suave dance moves with his smooth, versatile voice. As the music reached its peak, sparks flew to intensify the atmosphere, further highlighting the R&B, hip-hop track's blend of electrifying bounce and guitar instrumentals reminiscent of the 2000s. Jimin’s top-notch performance further elevated "Who" as an irresistible hit defining today's pop sound.

Leading up to Jimin’s appearance, “The Tonight Show” released teaser videos referencing his previous appearance tied to his first solo album, FACE, which rendered him the first South Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100. The videos, highlighting the bond between Jimin and Jimmy, heightened anticipation for the upcoming performance.

MUSE continues Jimin’s journey of self-discovery by documenting his search to find the source of his inspiration. He led the overall production of the album, participating in songwriting for six of the seven tracks, to showcase his expanded musical palette.

On July 23 KST, Jimin released five different remixes of the main track "Who"— Acoustic, Rock, Shibuyakei, Funky, and Beautiful Mind—now available on all streaming platforms worldwide.
