Hi BEWAVE, Thank you for taking the time during your busy schedule to give TINYgMUSIC readers an exclusive interview to talk about life since debut and an opportunity to get to know you all a bit more.

BEWAVE Can you please introduce yourselves to those who are just getting to know you and wish to become better acquainted?
BEWAVE: Thank you for allowing us to share our story with the readers of TINYgMUSIC. BEWAVE symbolises the coming together of six members, each with a unique charm, to create a new and overwhelming 'BLUE WAVE.' This concept reflects our aim to present diverse performances that are sometimes strong and on occasion gentle, much like the waves.
For our readers who have yet to be introduced to BEWAVE, how would you describe your music style?
JIUN: I think it's music that you can relate to and enjoy together.
YUNSEUL: Our songs are youthful, giving you a bright, refreshing feeling, yet touching on sad emotions.
LENA: The title song 너에게로 가는 길이 너무 어려워 (“Hard to get to you”) from our first single album, “Be Your Wave,” is captivating. It has an addictive chorus based on a band sound.
ZENA: Our music consists of various styles that resonate with young people.
AIN: Our music is the type of music that stays in your head once you hear it.
What was it like to make your debut in the spring of last year?
JIUN: At first, I couldn’t believe it, but as time went by, it started to feel real.
YUNSEUL: I’m so happy that the six of us debuted, and excited, as I can’t wait to make our fans happy.
LENA: Nearly a year has passed since our debut, and I'm thrilled to have fans who support us in everything we do.
ZENA: I felt like all the difficulties I had endured were now compensated for.
AIN: It didn’t feel real at first, but I’m really happy I debuted.
GOWOON: I can’t believe it. It’s like a dream come true.
What was the most memorable part of your debut journey?
JIUN: The choreography underwent a lot of changes, and I remember being so confused at the time.
ZENA: The most memorable part was when we took the album photos. At this point, I was able to discover new sides of myself and try different things.
AIN: It was when my profile was first revealed that I thought it was finally starting.
You have great team dynamics. I’m eager to know more about you as a team. Can you tell me what unique strengths you believe each member brings to the group?
ZENA: I believe Jiun brings energy to the group, Yunseul brings warmth, Lena and Gowoon bring cuteness, and Ain brings gentleness.
AIN: Jiun is the mood maker. Yunseul is our calm voice. Lena is so cool when she dances. Zena possesses strong energy, and Gowoon is cute and charming.
Have your relationships with one another evolved from pre-debut to debut to the present day?
ZENA: We have become more like family, understanding each other without having to say a word.
AIN: We are always together, and we know each other the best. As time goes on, we become more united.

All the hard work paid off. You successfully debuted with your mini album in April and then released your first single album in October. Now I’d like to ask you a few questions about your inspirations, aspirations. and dream performances.
Who are your biggest musical inspirations or role models, and in what way have they influenced your style?
JIUN: My role model is Justin Bieber. He has a wide range of vocal tones and can perfectly adapt to various genres. I want to emulate that.
YUNSEUL: My role model is SEVENTEEN. While preparing for our last album, I watched endless SEVENTEEN performances. I then practiced on a musical-style stage, expressing various emotions.
LENA: My role model is Aimyon. It’s fascinating how she writes lyrics that touch your heart. When I write my own music, I want to write lyrics like Aimyon.
AIN: My role models are SEVENTEEN. They express themselves well on stage and have an incredible ability to convey energy. I watch them a lot and learn from them.
GOWOON: My role model is Yuna from ITZY! I want to replicate Yuna's expressions and charm.
What core values or principles guide your collective decisions as a group?
LENA: Since our group doesn’t have a leader, we tend to talk things through together, make decisions, and then move forward rather than relying on one person’s opinion.
AIN: Each member shares their opinion, and we make the final decisions by majority vote.

Do you feel any aspects of your personality are reflected in your music?
YUNSEUL: I believe I was able to effectively express my emotions during the bridge section of the album, as I have an emotional personality.
GOWOON: I think my bright energy comes through.
If you could choose one cover song to perform, what would it be and why?
JIUN: I would like to show “Rewrite the Stars” because I want to showcase a different vocal tone throughout the song’s progression.
YUNSEUL: I like IU's song “Knees,” so if I had to cover a solo track, I would choose this one. And with the members, I would like to cover Girls' Generation's “The Boys” because I think we could show powerful and refreshing moves really well.
LENA: I would like to do “Marigold” by Aimyon, as she is my role model. I want to add my own twist to the song and sing it in my style.
ZENA: I would like to cover a song by FROMIS_9. I feel it's a vibe we can express well.
AIN: I want to cover a song by Taeyeon. I've practiced many of her songs, so I want to show a more developed version of myself.
GOWOON: I would like to try ITZY's 'Gold' because it’s a concept I really like, and I want to challenge myself with it.

Chatting with you already, I have an idea as to what your answers will be to the next question, but for our readers. So, who would BEWAVE's dream collaboration be with?
JIUN: Justin Bieber!
YUNSEUL: I would love to collaborate with Bruno Mars!
LENA: I would like to collaborate with SEVENTEEN.
ZENA: There are so many people I’d love to work with, but I especially want to collaborate with SEVENTEEN, who has been like a textbook for us by watching their videos and learning from them.
AIN: I want to collaborate with SEVENTEEN.
GOWOON: I would love to collaborate with Christopher.
We all know that music groups are nothing without their beloved fans, and BEWAVE are no different. Can we chat a little about the connection you have with your “LU”
The fandom name "LU" represents the missing "L" and "U" in the meaning of "BEWAVE," which stands for "BLUEWAVE." It signifies that with the fandom LU, the "BLUEWAVE" becomes complete.
How does it feel to have fans cheering for you?
JIUN: I can't believe that you like me, and I will grow to become someone who deserves to receive even more love.
YUNSEUL: Although I still find it hard to believe that there are people out there who appreciate me, I can enjoy myself and perform on stage without experiencing anxiety because of them. This gives me strength and is comforting.
LENA: I love it. When I feel tired during practice or want to give up, I think of my fans and overcome those moments, reminding myself to work harder.
ZENA: I don't want to disappoint the LUs who support me. I will work hard to become a proud idol and make them happy.
AIN: I feel so happy and empowered that I can’t express it in words.
GOWOON: It’s truly a moment when I feel loved more than anyone else.
What is one thing you want your fans to know about BEWAVE?
YUNSEUL: We are trying to show you our true, authentic selves.
ZENA: We really love LU, and we hope you know that we work hard for you.

Before we jump into our fun questions section, can I ask which of the tracks released from your two albums, “BE;WAVE" and “Be Your Wave,” is your favourite, and why?
YUNSEUL: My favourite track from the first single album is "Never lose you again” The lyrics are beautiful, and since it's written entirely in Korean, the message is conveyed well.
AIN: ‘Hard to get to you’ is a song I’ve cherished even before my debut. I enjoy performing this song on stage because it gives me a refreshing feeling.
Right, now is the time for us to have some fun and for the Korea.net readers to get to know a little more about your personalities. So which group member is more likely to forget the lyrics during a live performance?
JIUN: I think it’s me because there was a time when I forgot during a fan signing event.
AIN - It’s Jiun, as she is the member who gets the most nervous.
JIUN Thank you for your honesty.
Are there any group members who are likely to forget the choreography during a live performance?
YUNSEUL: Gowoon, Jiun.
ZENA: Probably Gowoon and Jiun, who have already made mistakes on stage.
AIN: Gowoon also gets very nervous, just like Jiun.
GOWOON: Me.

What’s one item you always carry with you, no matter where you go?
JIUN: I think it's my phone, but excluding that, it's probably lip balm!
YUNSEUL: My phone!
LENA: It's a face massage device.
ZENA: It’s Hello Kitty. Whether it’s a keyring or a phone case, I always have one around.
AIN: AirPods or a headset.
GOWOON: I think it’s my wallet.
Do you have a lucky charm or a ritual you do before performing?
JIUN: I raise my energy levels.
YUNSEUL: When we do a comeback stage, all the members go up on stage together and shout out “Fighting!”
ZENA: I try not to sleep during the waiting time. If I do fall asleep, my neck has to be stretched again, my face gets swollen, and I feel groggy; hence, I try to stay awake.
AIN: In my mind, I remind myself that I am the best.
BEWAVE you have come a long way in such a short space of time. It's evident that you are all on the same page and excited about the future. What piece of advice would you give yourself when you first joined the group if you could go back in time?
JIUN: I want to say, "I believe in you."
YUNSEUL: Always think it over at least three times.
LENA: Be confident and keep fighting!
ZENA: Let’s practice more bright songs!
AIN: I’d tell them to focus more on studying languages.
GOWOON: I think it would be good to reflect on things more.

As we near the end of this interview while looking towards your bright future, I have my two final questions for you. What is the one dream venue or event BEWAVE aspires to play?
JIUN: I want to have a fan meeting just for us! A concert would be great too, but I want a fan meeting where I can hang out with the fans!
YUNSEUL: I want to perform at a concert and stand on the MAMA stage.
LENA: I want to hold a concert in Japan.
ZENA: I want to do a world tour concert.
AIN: I want to do a concert and an overseas tour.
GOWOON: I want to perform on the Billboard stage.
We look forward to seeing you perform in Europe soon on your world tour. Best of luck, BEWAVE.
