Kyuhyun’s 1st Full-Length Album ‘COLORS’ Basks in Global Chart Success

Kyuhyun’s first full-length album, “COLORS,” has taken the global music scene by storm. The 10-track album, presenting his expansive and vibrant musical palette, has reached the No. 1 spot on multiple global charts, capturing the hearts of numerous listeners.

“COLORS” ranked first on the iTunes top album chart in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Mexico, Paraguay, Singapore and Taiwan, making it onto the top 10 list in 12 regions. It also took first place on the real-time physical album chart on Hanteo, a major music sales tracker in Korea, upon its release. The cinematic music video of its lead single, “Unending Days,” which sheds light on the romantic chemistry between Kyuhyun and actress Ha Yoon-kyung, is generating buzz as well.

Kyuhyun's latest album showcases his wide-ranging musical abilities, featuring tracks from different genres such as the pop dance song “Bring It On,” the ballad “Last Poem,” and the theatrical “Nights Without You,” which evokes the feel of a musical piece.

At a recent press conference in Seoul, Kyuhyun shared that he chose “Unending Days” as the lead track due to its band sound. He explained, “I aspire to be a performer made for the stage, which is why I always perform with a band. The band sound can sometimes overshadow me, so I want to sing this type of song frequently for others as well. By selecting such a song as a lead single, I gain more chances to perform it live and enjoy it with the audience.”

In this album, Kyuhyun also showcases his versatility as a singer-songwriter by including his own compositions, “Prologue” and “One Spring Day.” Each of his songs possesses its unique color, yet together they form a prism through Kyuhyun’s smooth voice, offering listeners blissful auditory experiences.

“This year marks the 10th anniversary of my solo debut, and this means a lot to me,” Kyuhyun, who made his solo debut with the track “At Gwanghwamun” in 2014, said. “So I came to put out a full-length album with many new tunes to make this anniversary even more meaningful. My goal was to produce an album that feels like a performance, as if I were unfolding a colorful prism.”

The album's success on the charts has heightened expectations for his eagerly anticipated new tour, also named "COLORS." Kyuhyun is set to begin his new Asia tour in Seoul this December, following the one held earlier this year, aiming to explore the entirety of his musical career and debut the songs from his new album. "These days, I am working on a setlist for the upcoming Asia tour and preparing for my performances," Kyuhyun stated.

Starting his tour at Seoul's Olympic Hall in Olympic Park from Dec. 20-22, he will continue in 2025, performing in Kaohsiung (Jan. 4), Hong Kong (Jan. 25), Jakarta (Feb. 8), Taipei (Feb. 22), Yokohama (March 5-6), Bangkok (March 15), Macau (March 22), and Manila (Apr. 5). Tickets for the Hong Kong and Jakarta shows are currently available.

This time, Kyuhyun will travel to three new cities ― Kaohsiung, Macau, and Manila ― to reach more international fans eager for his music-filled concerts. This will be his debut solo performance in these three locations.
