BABYMONSTER

Today, YG Entertainment's rising K-pop group BABYMONSTER released their new single "FOREVER." This summer pop anthem comes on the heels of their record-breaking debut EP 'BABYMONS7ER' and precedes their highly anticipated first full-length album, set for release later this fall.

BABYMONSTER have been recognised across the globe as one to watch - they were named Billboard’s K-Pop's Star to Watch, one of NYLON’s Bands to Watch in 2024 and, most recently, one of Teen Vogue’s Girl Groups to Watch. They were also recently featured in Teen Vogue - you can read their profile HERE.

The debut EP 'BABYMONS7ER' was launched on April 1st, achieving a milestone with 400,000 copies sold immediately, setting a new record for the highest first-week album sales by a K-pop girl group. The EP includes the hit singles “BATTER UP,” “SHEESH,” and “LIKE THAT,” the latter of which was written by the international star, Charlie Puth for the band.

"SHEESH" climbed to No. 16 on the Billboard Global Chart and No. 33 on the Billboard 200, holding its position for 12 weeks. Billboard hailed the track as "pop-rap magic" and listed it among the top pop songs of the week at the time of release. The music video premiered at No. 1 on YouTube's global music video chart and is nearing 260 million views. It set a record as the fastest debut music video by a K-pop girl group to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, achieving this feat in just 10 days.

The previous record was set by BABYMONSTER’s debut single, “BATTER UP,” which reached 100M views in 18 days. “BATTER UP” garnered 22.5M views in 24-hours and has since broken two YouTube streaming records - it reached 100M views in just 18 days and 200M views in 53 days.

BABYMONSTER are set to perform at Japan’s largest music festival, Summer Sonic 2024, in Tokyo this summer alongside some of the biggest names on the global music scene, including Jon Batiste, MÅNESKIN, Lil Yachty, Laufey, Tyl, and Greta Van Fleet. They’ve also made a splash in the fashion world and were recently named global ambassadors for Adidas.

Keep up with BABYMONSTER
