SEVENTEEN’S Special Unit BSS to Kick Off the New Year With Comeback

Returning two years after their massive hit “Fighting (Feat. Lee Young Ji),” BSS of SEVENTEEN will kick off the new year with their high-spirited 2nd Single Album TELEPARTY on January 8.

TELEPARTY, a portmanteau of “telepathy” and “party,” represents BSS’ heart-to-heart party of connection through their telepathic empathy. With this album, they remind everyone to pause and savor the ordinary yet precious moments of everyday life.

In the new trailer unveiled today on SEVENTEEN’s official social media platforms, BSS pose the question, “How is your youth?” as they step into the lives of everyday people to celebrate the beauty of simple happiness. The trio act as "ambassadors of youth," offering a break to students in cram school, taking on overtime for an office worker exhausted by late nights, and bringing two elders together for love. As the video concludes, they declare, “Youth is now,” redefining youth as ‘anyone finding joy in the moment’ and promising to make the world full of youth.

BSS is a special unit under the 13-piece K-pop icon SEVENTEEN, consisting of three of the band’s members, SEUNGKWAN, DK and HOSHI. The unit is the acronym for ‘BooSeokSoon,’ each of the three letters taken from the Korean name of the three members that form the unit.

Packed with remarkable talent, chemistry and signature exuberant energy, BSS have solidified their status in the music scene with record-breaking achievements. Their first single album, SECOND WIND, released in 2023, set a record for the highest first-week album sales by any K-pop unit at the time, with 610,000 copies sold. Its lead single “Fighting (Feat. Lee Young Ji)” became one of the top 5 longest-charting songs by a K-pop boy group on a leading streaming platform in Korea, Melon, where it stayed for an astonishing 677 consecutive days.

Recognised as a ‘source of energy,’ the track was even chosen as the official cheer song for Team Korea (South Korean national team) during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, building anticipation for what lies ahead for the unit.

Pre-order for TELEPARTY begins at 6PM PT / 9PM ET on December 26 (11AM KST on December 27) with more information available on Weverse
