Hip-hop / R&B girl group XG taps in Jay Park, OZworld, AKLO, Paloalto, VERBAL, Awich, Tak, and Dok2 for the remix of their song, “WOKE UP.”
"WOKE UP REMIXX" features the most notable rappers in East Asia with the original “WOKE UP” backtrack which is a mix of an 808 bass and distinctive East Asian sounds. Each rapper adds their own unique style to the track with lyrics referencing their own music, East Asian culture and even an ode to hip-hop. The flawless blend between all the rappers resulted into a 6 minute track that showcases the hip-hop talent of East Asia to the world.
Just recently, XG announced their highly-anticipated second mini album, “AWE” will release on November 8th, 2024. The album will include pre-release single, “SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT” and “WOKE UP REMIXX” in addition to six new tracks. You can pre-order the album HERE.
After completing a run of shows in Asia for their “The first HOWL” tour, XG will be headed to North America next month to begin the next leg of their tour. The tour will start on October 4th in Las Vegas at The Theater at Virgin Hotels and conclude on October 21st in Chicago at Wintrust Arena. Following this run of dates, XG will head to Europe to complete the tour there before returning to Japan for their final shows.
